The Hacon is a corten steel letterbox from Adezz, with a lockable door at the rear. The letterbox has a sleek design that suits both a modern and classic home. The dimensions of the letterbox are 35x35x120 cm (LxWxH) and it weighs 34 kg.

Placement

The folded edges at the bottom of the letterbox make it easy to attach to concrete. There are holes for the screws on the four sides. Even with a big storm, you can be sure that the Hacon will remain in place. (concrete base is available at a DIY store).

Rust process

Corten steel is a very strong type of steel that covers itself with a protective layer of rust when exposed to the outside air. The mailbox is always delivered unrusted and gets its beautiful rust color/layer when it is outside. This process takes approximately 6 to 12 months. This process can be accelerated to 2 to 3 weeks by using the rust accelerator. The rust accelerator can be found at the bottom of this page under smart combinations.

After it is completely rusted, we always recommend applying a rust fixer. This ensures that the rust process stops and no rust water will come off the letterbox. The rust fixer can also be found at the bottom of this page under smart combinations.

    Corten steel rust process

    Corten steel is almost always delivered unrusted. It gets its protective layer of rust when left outside. The rust process usually takes 6-12 months, or 2-3 weeks with a rust accelerator. After complete rust formation, we recommend using a rust fixer to prevent rust water.< /p>
