#VALUE!
Your accommodation is made of impregnated wood. The wood is vacuum impregnated under pressure. By using this method, the wood is more resistant to water, mold and wood rot. This ensures a minimum lifespan of 10 years without maintenance.
Benefits of impregnated wood:
• It protects the wood against deterioration • Staining is not necessary
• Can be painted over in the desired color
• Environmentally responsible
Harmful for my pets?
Only substances are used in the wood that have been assessed on the basis of legal explanatory decision are permitted. Wood may only be preserved with preservatives that have been extensively tested for safety, health and the environment for humans and animals. The wood we use is therefore not harmful to your pet(s).
Aging of the wood
The outer layer of wood discolors due to sunlight. The speed at which this happens depends on where the product is located. In full sun, wood will gray faster. You can counteract or slow down this natural process by treating the wood with a suitable stain or varnish.
FSC
Wood is the only renewable raw material, sustainable forest management ensures that more wood is never harvested than grows. This way you not only have a residence with a long lifespan, but also a sustainable residence!
Color difference
Every tree is different and therefore the wood can differ in color. The color variations that are noticeable at first will fade over time due to the action of sunlight.
Green deposits on the wood
The product used to wood to be preserved contains impregnating salts that prevent attack by fungi and bacteria. During production, these salts can mix with resin from the wood and deposit on the surface. The confusion with mold on wood is therefore quickly made. However, this deposit is a normal phenomenon with impregnated products and will disappear quite quickly once your enclosure is placed outside.
